How to create Backups of your Valheim Server

Pockethost offers a variety of options to create backups and to configure the process of it.

Here you will find information about the options regarding the backups in the Pockethost dashboard.

Backup Interval

With this option you can adjust how often a backup of your world will be created. You can configure the backup period by the second. The default is 1800 seconds, which equals 30 minutes.

Backup Count

With this option you can adjust how any backups you want to have saved. The first backup, the shorttime backup, is the most recent backup. The other ones are longtime backups which are for example each 12 hours apart. The default are 4 backups.

Backup Shorttime

Here you decide the time interval between shorttime backups. E.g. you have the default time of 2 hours, then the shorttime backup will be updated every 2 hours.

Backup Longtime

Here you decide the time interval between longtime backups. E.g. you have the default time of 12 hours, then the longtime backups will be each 12 hours apart.
